We are sooooooo excited for you! We know something of what you will experience. You are going to love, love, love it. The people will be so blessed by your service.
We admire you two so much. Love, neal and Jackie
Hi, Hintons! So you take off tomorrow! We are so excited for you. And Micki, you always wanted to be a pioneer – so living in the 1800′s in Vanuatu should be a piece of cake! We love you and look forward to this blog. (BTW, when I confirmed the subscription it took me back to the blog of your friends who are going to the Phillipines.)
We miss you! We are happy that you are able to serve and share all the talents you have. Just want to wish you a Merry Christmas. We send our love to our very special friends.
Paul and Colleem
Are you in Mesa or Orem? Adrian wants to know if Paul has the snow plow going. He wishes he could come and scrape it up and bring it back to Vaunuatu. It is 88 degrees here today and the humidity is the same. Did you go to Nasamaresort.com to see where we are living. It is so beautiful to see the ocean morning and night. This is amazing place with incomparable beauty, but also some sad scenes as you see how some of the people live. I am amazed how clean and beautiful they are at church on Sunday when they come out of such a humble abode. We do miss you all and think 18 months is such a long time ! We are sure it will go faster when we start getting into these projects. We have the challenge to bless about 8,000 people with clean water this next year. What an awesome responsibility! We love our mission. We hope you both stay well so we can have some more great experiences when we return home. Merry Christmas. Luvem yu both E/S Hinton
Wonder how things are going with you and hope you are in Arizona and not in Orem. My Mom said “I thought you said the winter’s weren’t bad here.” Well what can you expect when she has been in Arizona for the last 24 years. We have heard it has been the coldest winter in 20 years. We are now accustomed to the heat and are doing well. We go to Tanna and island to the south on the 31st of Jan and then it all unfolds. We do sanitation teaching and Adrian makes sure the water committees are in place and then we turn the button and they will get a huge 10,000 liter water tank for the villages. It is amazing how they live. Thatched roofs and dirt floors. When it rains it rains in the house and gets everything wet and the kids get all dirty. We do live in castles and don’t even know it. The wheelchair project has begun and the specialist comes from Bountiful the end of February. The island where we are has 300 babies a month. I am working on getting a neonatal resuscitation project. That will be do important here.
We love you guys . Stay well and make sure you are both there, happy and healthy when we get back so we can make some more memories.
Luvem yu ! Lookem yu! No we have not learned very much of the language yet.
